Privacy Policy

This page explains how Saravam handles information used by its chat features.

Chat profiles

If you complete a chat profile, your chat name, age, gender and location are shared with other connected chat participants. Profiles are held in server memory while registered and are removed when your chat connection ends.

Messages and shared links

Private messages are sent to the sender and recipient. Chat page messages are sent to everyone connected to that room. Anyone who has the room's link or code can join; a room code is not an account or identity check.

The app keeps received messages in the current browser session's memory. It does not provide a saved message history after a reload.

Pictures

Uploaded pictures are shared with participants in the same chat page. The latest picture is held temporarily in server memory for up to one hour, and is removed when the server detects that the last participant has left. It can also be removed earlier on a server restart or when the temporary cache fills up.

Other participants can copy messages or download pictures they receive. Removing a picture from Saravam cannot remove copies someone else has made.

Connections

Your browser connects to Saravam's API to exchange profiles, messages and pictures. Hosting infrastructure may process connection information, such as IP addresses and request details, as part of serving the website.
